Quality Assurance Plan
At the micro level, Team Tritus uses the three components ofQuality control prescribed in the Project Management Body of Knowledge: QualityPlanning, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.
Quality Planning
For each Task Order, Quality Planning consists ofdetermining which quality standards are applicable, are SMART (Specific,Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely) and how to measure them. For example, a Task Order related to ensuringsystem performance may have a standard of high availability at 99.999% of thetime, as measured by dividing the total available time over three months by theamount of time lost due to unplanned outages. For each task order, if the standards are not included in the Task Orderproposal request, Team Tritus will, within the scope of the TO, define anddocument the quality standards to be used during the execution of the TO. These standards will be reviewed with, and approved by, the client program manager.
Quality Assurance
Defining the standards is the first step of QualityAssurance; however, regular measurement of performance against these standardsis necessary for them to be of value. Team Tritus will regularly (on a frequency acceptable to the Government)provide evaluations of performance against the pre-defined quality standards. Unless otherwise directed by the client, we report against these standards in our our normal progress reports.
Quality Control
It is possible that meeting the initial quality standardsdetermined for the TO do not result in the desired outcomes for theGovernment. Quality Control is theprocess by which the overall results of the TO performance are evaluatedagainst the desired outcomes to determine if the quality standards defined forthe TO need adjustment. Team Tritus will perform this evaluation at thedirection of the Government should the Government feel it is advantageous to doso.
